where we came from.
Drechsel’s home isn’t just an office, it’s a living showroom for MillerKnoll products and a piece of design history.
We work inside a building crafted in the late 1960s, a bold example of Brutalist architecture with its modular forms, exposed steel I-beams, and raw concrete. Back then, this space was the hub for REFF, a pioneering wood-based modular casegoods line co-founded by Fred Drechsel, whose vision helped shape modern workplace design.
Today, REFF remains a cornerstone brand in the MillerKnoll family, and our building continues to embody the spirit of innovation that started it all.
